Evening deliveries Tuesday–Sunday, Dry Bar coffee, collections, bookings and practical partnerships.
Right now
Dry Bar after six. 25 September–4 October, 6pm–midnight, except Monday 28 September evening. Every Friday and Saturday thereafter, from 9–10 October.
Daytime private hire. By arrangement throughout the grand opening. Online daytime and evening hire booking opens 11 October. Monday daytime available; Monday evenings closed. Events TBC.
Deliveries. Tuesday–Sunday evenings when open.
Good coffee still matters
River & Bean is changing shape, but the coffee remains central.
Coffee is part of our Dry Bar evenings, Tuesday–Sunday evening deliveries, collections, bookings, events and fundraising. We are not a daily daytime drop-in cafe. Online ordering and subscriptions are still being rebuilt; email us to arrange an order.
This lets us sell good coffee without pretending we can staff a full daily cafe model before the numbers support it.
Ways to Buy Coffee
Announced takeaway windows
When we are staffed or on-site, we may announce takeaway coffee windows from Old Bridge Street.
Please check before travelling specifically for coffee.
Collection and delivery
Evening deliveries continue Tuesday–Sunday, including nights when the public Dry Bar is not open. There are no deliveries on Monday nights or other announced closures.
Email to discuss the available coffee and products, delivery area, timing or a collection. This site does not take orders or payment online.
Dry Bar evenings
The Dry Bar launches Friday 25 September–Sunday 4 October 2026, 6pm–midnight, except Monday 28 September evening when the Dry Bar is closed. Then it opens every Friday and Saturday, 6pm–midnight, starting 9–10 October. Private hire and events are available at other times by arrangement; Monday nights are closed every week.
Website orders
Direct website orders help River & Bean most because they keep the relationship simple and the support visible.
Coffee subscriptions
Supporter coffee subscriptions help create predictable income and keep the venue available.
Bookings and events
Private hire includes two jugs of filter coffee, one caffeinated and one decaf, plus a small selection of teas and instant coffee.
For a bigger group, we can also talk through drinks service.
Proper Coffee and Propa Cuppa
For bookings, partner sessions, fundraising events and organisation use, we may offer:
- Proper Coffee drinks service
- Propa Cuppa drinks service
- takeaway-style service
- prepaid drinks bundles
- fundraiser drinks tables
- collection/delivery-linked campaigns
Before you go ahead, we will agree whether it is a standard sale, supported member or organisation service, or a fundraising share.
Subscriptions
When subscriptions open, they may cover:
- supporter coffee subscriptions
- office or organisation coffee
- fundraising-linked subscriptions
- member coffee bundles
- gift subscriptions where products are live
Every option will set out:
- what is included
- how often it is delivered or collected
- whether delivery is available
- how cancellation works
- whether any support goes to a partner organisation or the Fresh Ayr Fund
Fresh Ayr Fund Contribution
A minimum of 1% of every River & Bean transaction, including coffee sales, goes to the River & Bean Fresh Ayr Fund.
That fund is reviewed and disbursed quarterly with active registered member voting on eligible applications and proposals.

Organisations can use coffee as part of:
- fundraising campaigns
- event service
- meeting hospitality
- subscription support
- co-branded coffee offers
- supporter drives
- collection and delivery days
